Doing Business in Eritrea 2013

The World Bank has released its massive Doing Business 2013 report for Eritrea. It covers the business environment, construction permits, electricity, property, credit, investing, taxes, trading across borders, contracts, insolvency, and labor.

Out of 185 economies ranked globally on the ease of doing business, the World Bank ranked Eritrea 182. By comparison, Kenya ranked 121, Ethiopia 127, and the Sub-Saharan Africa average 140. Eritrea did best on enforcing contracts and getting electricity and dead last on resolving insolvency and dealing with construction permits.
