Kevin Jerome Everson is one of the more prominent African American experimental filmmakers. A recipient of many prestigious awards, grants and fellowships, his challenging works have been exhibited at several revered film festivals and institutions all over the world. Usually sparse and rugged, combining documentary and scripted elements, his films often focus on the lives of mostly working class people of African descent.
