From director Damir Radonic and screenwriter Salah Sabiti comes a South African dramedy feature titled Taka Takata, which will screen at the Pan African Film Festival in LA this month. Starring Trevor Noah, Kagiso Lediga, and Anele Mdoda, the synopsis for the film reads: The story of a local football team in Johannesburg that ranks at the bottom of a low level champions league. In order to better its performances, the coach of the team decides to fly to Brazil to buy some football players from the favelas. Their journey is told through Rasta, an unlikely hero who goes through a series of unexpected events, accompanied by Pico, the Brazilian player, Pinki, the owner...
